about

the idea came in 2008. in fact, the song was "completed" in 2008. there's a reason why i just used quotes there. after having sudden/renewed interest expressed in the song (and listening to it again after all these years), i decided to work on it some more and expand it out to a maxi single in the same vein of the previous single "a way."

in keeping with the musical idea of theme and repetition (or perhaps more accurately, theme and de/reconstruction), i present "sentinel rise" with 4 versions of the title track. a full version, an edited version, a reconstructed version, and a deconstructed version. and in keeping with the experimental nature of musicians that inspired me, the reconstructed and deconstructed versions have no drum tracks. drumless rhythm. people don't do that very much, now do they?

and for those who choose to purchase the single in its entirety, you will receive a digital booklet with exclusive artwork.
